So this is slightly less scandalous than the title.
I'll be graduating with my first/only bachelors this May. If I don't get into medical school next season, I'll be looking to do some GPA repair back home for a few semesters. I'm from NYC and CUNYs are dirt cheap compared to current undergrad.
However: non-degree instate tuition is quite literally 1800 more per semester than matriculate full time. This being said: what would happen if I entered as a "biology(example) degree seeking student" and then dropped out after the first year/after finishing my DIY post bac????? Do you think there are repercussions or something?

Second and unrelated; if I do a "second bachelors" but at a different school, will I be forced to retake bio 101, Chem 101 etc?

I added a bio major to allow me to register for my pre-req courses more easily. While I could graduate with a triple major if I added a semester, no one cares and time is money. I'll drop the bio major and apply for graduation this summer. As long as it isn't listed on AMCAS as future coursework, that schools may expect you to complete, no one will know, let alone care.
hope that helps?
