I realize I could call up all 5 schools I have applied to and ask, but I wanted to know if anyone here had an answer first. All the schools want at least 2 english courses (composition I assume), but is that hard and fast? I took freshman comp and then I tested out of the upper division comp class. Is that going to be acceptable?

Not sure. I took an advanced composition class that was only one semester. I was going to register for a class next semester, just in case.

I just spoke to the dean of admissions at Creighton and as long as you have taken 6 units of English comp or literature, that's enough. I've taken freshman comp and at least one literature class, so I think I'm good to go.

I don't know about OP, but I've only got 3 credits of English. So I'm going to register for a BS online English class in the spring. 😀

I tested out of both Comp I and Comp II, took a required Lit class and havent run into a problem yet. I'm running on the assumption that you are in the clear because you do have the recommended credit.

is writing class same as english comp?
