Hello all,
I am applying this cycle but will not be graduating undergrad until december of this year. I have not taken genetics or biochem, (i go to a small school and both the profs are equally bad). But I am more than willing to take those two courses in the spring at a different university/online if I will be entering a school that requires them.
Some people have told me to go ahead and list them as anticipated/planned courses for either the fall of 2012 or spring of 2013, but my advisor says not to because if I dont take them it'll be a problem. I am just worried that will I be automatically written off from schools that require them (like UNECOM, MSUCOM) because I am not showing on my app that I will take them before begining DO school? Or will those schools still consider me and then just tell me that I am bound to take those courses before entering if I am accepted? I am hoping to submit my app within the next few days so any and all advice is appreciated!
Another question...I have not taken the MCAT yet and plan on doing so early august. I was told to go ahead and just apply to all schools now and get the primary out and get verified. And then update with score in early Sept. I just want to make doubly sure I am doing the right thing by submitting to about 15-20 schools now as opposed to 1 school. Please advise? According to aacomas my Cgpa is 3.64 and sgpa is 3.46 if that makes any diff...
