My parents are from the middle east. I was born in the US. On ERAS there is no option for middle eastern. So let's say that in the other category I put Iraqi/Syrian/Egyptian/Jordanian/etc. Do you think that PDs reading this will assume I am IMG/FMG without reading the rest of my app? I was looking at my downloaded ERAS application the other day and I noticed that the self ID info is right at the top.

FMG means foreign medical grad ... meaning the school is foreign, not the person is of a foreign ethnicity. They will see what school you attended and know it is in the US.

In addition, I believe you register your school with NRMP as either AMG or IMG/FMG
