i have the kaplan books, think those with the 1001 question books will be good.

Or should I get teh 1001 series along with the examkrackers review material?

thanks

i really liked all the EK stuff. I highly reccomend it.

Did you use both the ExamKrackers review books and the 1001 quetstion series? what exactly did you use?

well, you have to use what you need. i reviewed w/ all the ek review books. i found myself a little weak in phys. so i got that 1001 book and found it helpful. I also read both the kap and pr books before I got started. they both were good at delivering a precise summary of the material. the ek books are more conceptual. i think it's important to understand the material both ways.

ExamKrackers Audio Osmosis all the way!!

I used audio osmosis + the ek books--the cd's are good but the books are even better,so if you can't afford both then go for the books.

you mean the EK review books then? Not just the 1001 series. Also, did you use any Kaplan or PR books?

Yes, I mean the EK review books. The 1001 books can be beneficial only if you have a lot of time on your hands. I would say review books + aamc tests +ek tests.

I would totally agree. The books are absolutely amazing. I heard that Audio Osmosis is great, but again, if you can't afford it, go for the books. There are some topics that aren't covered in as much detail as Kaplan (which I think gives too much erroneous information), so it would be helpful to keep the Kaplan books on your side to review certain concepts (Kaplan bio seemed to be more helpful for me). Best of luck! 🙂

thanks. I am trying to prepare for the worst -- i don't get in. So i was looking at a new way to approach studying, i didn't use EK before, so i was thinking of trying it. But i wasn't sure if I shoudl sue the EK review and 1001 series, or Kaplan and the 1001 series.

Is there one full book of 1001 series and of EK review or do i need to buy separate books for each?

Thanks again.

go to www.half.com and type "examkrackers complete study package", or just "examkrackers"

You can also go to Walmart.com and get EK for less than $100. Must buy study package and "1001" book separately though.

Also the great thing about EK is that they have "stand alone" study questions throughout each lecture, and 1/2 practice exams to complete at the end of the lectures. This keeps you focused on doing questions, not simply studing information. It's about the application of information, not just how much you know. Go EK all the way!

I used EK (the main books...not 1001 series) and the AAMC practice exams and that was good enough for me!
