Question about First Aid

I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice regarding purchasing First Aid. I'm an M1 now, so I'll be taking Step 1 in 2009. Would picking up First Aid 2008 be good enough, or would it be better to get, say, First Aid 2007 now and then pick up 2009 when it comes out? Thanks for the advice!

Changes from year to year are minimal.

Errors are corrected, but new ones always seem to creep in.

I remember buying one as an M1 and having nothing useful to use it for.

why are you concerned about FA at this stage. as an MS1, the last thing that u should be worried about is Step 1. u still have to brave through the grueling MS2 year. and even if u not too concerned about that, then u should be making the most of the material that is being presented to u. start thinking about possible career choices and start arranging for research and shadowing opportunities. the best thing that u could do to prepare for step 1 is working hard, and try to build a solid base in biochem, anatomy and physiology. without that, no version of FA (no matter how recent) will be of use.
