Question about gap grades?

So i received a FIN which means that I failed to complete a course that was INC so it became FIN. FIN counts as an F but this F alone is killing my gap by a lot. Is there anything i can do to maybe get rid of this F like taking the class over? Does medical school still calculate the F into my overall GPA?

The F will be calculated into your GPA for MD schools no matter what. It can be replaced by retaking the class if you are applying to DO schools.
