I did a search and couldn't find this. Just out of curiosity, not that I'm being optimistic, when you get accepted to pharmacy school let's say before the spring semester is over; do you have to get certain grades in your current classes even if they're part of the pre-reqs, or can you just get Cs and be fine? Thanks! 🙂

It may depend on the school, but I think I may have an answer. In a pharmacy FAQ or chat for Wayne State's program, someone asked a similar question and the answer was that you could be un-admitted if you fail to meet requirements. So it seems that as long as you take all the pre-requisites for your school, get the minimum grade requirement in each class and get the total minimum GPA, you can stay in the program.

From what I've seen and the schools that I've been accepted to, as long as you get a C or higher in pre-reqs you've yet to get a grade in the school will not renege on taking you. That seems to be the policy I've seen most at least.

At some schools in Cali - you need to maintain a 3.0 in all remaining pre-reqs, if you are accepted before completing them all. At Pacific U (my school) - my C+ in organic chem II was perfectly acceptable.

Take home message = it varies by institution, thus you will need to contact them for further information.

Thank you ... not that I have been accepted or anything, but the day I do, it'd be nice to get some pressure out of me if I can and being able to afford Bs and Cs instead of studying my ass off for As.
