Question about interview attire for women?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I have a mint-colored top that I've been wearing with my suit. If you feel you look boring, I think pastels are nice, but bright colors may be too much.

Hey,

I have been having a tough time finding a nice top for a while now. I just found this shirt online -- is it okay? Can anyone recommend a different shirt?

Parker Tunic-Fit Super-Stretch Shirt | Banana Republic

My suit and shoes are black and have kept the jewelry very simple. Is it unsafe to add color somehow? I look and feel boring.

Thanks. 🙂

I've been adding color to my interview outfit by wearing colored and often patterned sleeveless blouses underneath my suit coat. My favorite blouses with my suit also have texture - think subtle ruffles, pleating, or stitching. I have seen a wide variety of blouses on women at interviews. As long as it is not too revealing or distracting, I think that you can have fun with the color and pattern to add some personality to your look. I would recommend looking at the clearance section of Banana Republic; that's where I found mine!

Hey! Where did you get yours from? Do you mind attaching a link?

To be honest, this has to be the most uninteresting white shirt I have ever seen in my life.
What's so special about it?
It's so unflattering!:joyful:
But that is just my opinion, it is hard to see how it will look like with your suit.

Respect the honesty.

You can do so much better than that white shirt. Hit the mall... they'll have lots of options like schoolerbust posted. I wore a dark maroon jacket over a sleeve less white top that had a black strip going down the middle with some sewn in foldings for a design.

So I got a VERY light pink button-down shirt. Hopefully it looks nice...if not, I'll be sure to hit the mall again before my interview. 🙂
