I have a quick question. This may be dumb but I'm going to go ahead and ask. I want to give my professor a letter of recommendation, but after he writes it I do not want to look at it.

On the letter of recommendation form, it says on question number 2:
2.(optional) I hereby waive my right of access to the information recorded below.

option 1: Yes, I waive my rights
option 2: No, I do not waive my rights

I am suppose to chose option 1 right, that means I don't want to look at what my evaluator wrote for me.

The question is kind of confusing.

Your instinct is correct. Waiving your right to access basically means giving up that right. So, choice 1 is the one you want.
