Question about license, please help!

I am currently doing a pathology fellowship and would like to obtain my California medical license. On the form the PD needs to fill out it states you are required to have 4 months of general medicine in order to be licensed.

Does anyone on here have any direct experience with getting a California license from out of state as a pathologist?

I called the board and they will not discuss this with me because the program fills that form out, not the applicant.

I heard that LADoc used his CMB connections to connoct that stipulation in order to prevent anymore pathologists from being granted a medical license in California. Brilliant!

On a more serious note, what they define as "general medicine" has to be pretty loose. Otherwise how could an AP only resident ever be eligible for a medical license?
