Hi Guys,

I have a serious question about LOR. I want to get a LOR from my professor in my "perception" class, but I'm not sure if the course is considered "psychology" or "biology?" The class itself is considered a "natural science" by my school, but is also in the psychology department. I know I need to have a minimum of two letters from science professors, and am wondering whether I should pursue this letter or find someone else? I'm not sure how medical schools will view this course, and if I can't use his recommendation for one of the science professors, I want to avoid it and find someone else.

It's a bit of a crapshoot but I can can almost guarantee that it will be looked at as a social science (psychology) discipline. The biopsychology of perception is just a little bit too soft to be guaranteed as a hard science. I remember trying to work through this game myself as a biopsych major. Unfortunately most people just think that anything in psych = social.
