Some schools only accept 2 LORs, and I have 4. They're all good letters, but I expect two of them to be exceptionally better than the other two. Will the school be able to use the LORs that I choose.. somehow? Or do they just randomly pick out 2 or use the first 2 that were submitted? Thanks for the read!

From my experience they read ALL of them. PharmCAS will sent all the letters you sent to them to the schools you designate.

You could go and message each school and let them know which letters are the ones you intend for each institution.

I was wondering this too. Let me know if you happen to find a definitive answer.

So from your experience, which schools read ALL of them?

When I applied to pharmacy school I had talked with many school representatives whether on the phone or in person or in online chats/meetings. I found out when I asked about "what happens when I designate more letters than your school requires?"

The majority of them (if not all) all said that it was okay if you sent extra letters (you would not be penalized) and that if they had time, they would read everything you sent, because it provides additional depth about your character.

A few schools said that they would randomly select letters (although they will not do that if you tell them specifically), but most of the time in practice, even these schools will peek at your other letters especially if you are a borderline applicant because they want to know more about you.

Awesome. Thanks!
