Question about Master Programs application deadlines

Hello! This may seem like an extrememly stupid question but I need some clarificatin because my couselor is confusing me. If I am applying to Master programs to help boost my app (like RFU and BU), when do I apply? I'm going to be a senior this fall so if i'm lucky i'd get admitted to start a program fall of 2019. A lot of these websites say applications open or the deadlines are in June or July, but i'm not sure if that means June/July of 2019 or 2018 (basically are applications processes year long like for med school?)/

Typically the application window is very long but admissions are rolling so applying a bit earlier is better.

Most programs open their applications for the following year in the late fall or early winter. So applications are open like ~October 2018 until ~June 2019 for the class that would begin fall 2019. Many don't start reviewing the app until January so you'll likely hear a decision sometime in the spring.
