To anyone who knows about the PCOM interview process,

Is it important to go to the breakfast meeting? My interview is 3 hrs after the breakfast so I would just be sitting there doing nothing in the meantime. I would like to skip the breakfast meeting if it doesn't affect the committee's decision. Can anyone clear this up for me?

Hey Lad,
I hope you don't mind posting your credentials if you desire. Thanks Greatly.

The breakfast is not mandatory. Matter of fact, neither is the interview from what faculty members have told me. Unless you have a 45MCAT, a 4.0, and a LOR from the Surgeon General and the Head of the NIH I would go to the breakfast but that's just me.

Call the admissions office and ask.

RAPTOR... good point... I had to read it a few times to understand. Sarcastic but true.

HIGHBURY... what do you need the credentials for... do you mean stats... what do you need that for. That has nothing to do with the original post. What are your stats.. what ever your stats are that is the one PCOM is looking for.

I would take advantage of any and all time that you have on campus, especially "down-time", to talk to other interviewees and find out what type of person is the school pulling in and talk to current students who stop in to pick their brain about how happy they are or aren't and any pros or cons of the school. In the end if you have multiple acceptances you will want any information you can have to help you make a decision and this information then will be invaluable.

HIghbury, send me a PM if u want my stats
