Question about Personal Statement

Is it bad if my personal statement is only around 3700 characters? I know the max is 4500. What is the best way to space paragraphs?

Short and sweet is fine. No need to try and add additional fluff or make it seem longer just to have a higher number. Being concise is good.

My personal statement is split into 5 paragraphs and around 4200 characters in length. I wish it was shorter so it wouldn't be so "fluffy." 3700 sounds good to me.

That's fine. If you think you said everything you didnt to say about you, the shorter the better.

Just put a line in between paragraphs.

Mines just above 3800 characters with spaces, so I am in the same boat as you. I feel like I trimmed way too much too.
