I just found out through email that I am being offered an interview for a pharmacy intern position at CVS. The intern program manager is conducting the interviews on Thursday (7/16) and Friday (7/17). This is good news for me, but the problem is that I am having car issues at the moment, and I don't think that I will be able to make it the interview which is about 70 miles away. Do you all think it will be okay if I try schedule a phone interview instead with the intern manager??

Call the intern program manager and tell him about your situation.

Is there a friend or a relative or a family member who is willing to drive you 70 miles to your interview?

I have an idea. You could pay a neighbor whom you know or a friend, to drive you to your interview and then drive you back home.

That depends on how badly you want the job. I don't think a phone interview is a great idea. Most recruiters prefer to meet you in person. Also, asking them to work around you for car troubles sends the message that you may not be dependable. I understand that some things are out of your control, but if at all possible, I'd find a way to get there.

I had my car fixed yesterday, so I will be able to make it for the interview. Thanks to everyone for the responses!
