Question about practicing (in particular CAP fast track)

I've always wondered about this because I have only seen one child psychiatrist doing this.

Let's say you've decided to through the CAP fast track. Are you still able to be boarded as a general psychiatrist afterwards? If so, can you practice general psychiatry comfortably even if you have fasttracked into CAP?
Now, let's say you with your CAP fellowship have practiced general psych for several years. Are you still eligible to practice as a CAP then or you need additional refresher training?


Just wondering, that's all. Basically what I'm asking is that how much "going back and forth" can you do after you have completed your fellowship training?

Yes

Yes

You can get double boarded, and then practice in either area.
 
or you can opt out of the boards and practice in either area, which may limit you from employment opportunities but does not prevent you from practicing as a board eligible candidate
