question about pre-reqs deadline for Western

When western says they don't take courses prior to matriculation , does that mean no summer courses at all or does it mean you just have to finish your courses before registration date in August and that it could be a summer course?

This is what is on their website:
"Course Work in Progress: All prerequisite course work in progress must be completed no later than the spring semester or quarter prior to registration date in August. Summer session courses taken immediately prior to matriculation at Western University are not accepted. "

i withdrew my interview b/c i would not finish it BEFORE JULY 1. they want transcripts to be in by that date. i didnt like that.

I think it means no summer classes at all. Spring semester/quarter is the last time you can take prereqs.

Spring is the last term you can finish up the pre-req courses. If you're taking courses in the spring, have your professors complete the form on the site to indicate your current grade then request for an official transcript after the term is over. WesternU wants the official transcript by June 1st, but you have until September 28, 2007 to submit official transcripts if you're still taking classes.

Exceptions are taken on a case by case basis, but I wouldn't count on getting one.
