So most of the DO schools I applied to require 6 semester hours in behavioral sciences. I'm currently a senior taking a 4 semester hour course in behavioral sciences, which I listed on my AACOMAS app as "in progress."

I'm gonna be taking another behavioral science course next semester to satisfy the total hours required by my schools, but I didn't list this (or any of my next semester courses for that matter) on my AACOMAS app.

This shouldn't be a problem right? As long as I have the pre-reqs done before the summer before entering med school, it shouldn't matter, correct?

Correct, you're fine.

Just don't forget to take it next semester!

I actually meant to ask this as well. What do the medical schools accept as behavioral science? I can guess that classes in psychology and anthropology fit under these categories? Do econ classes count as well?

Also, my engineering degree let me take all my humanities electives pass/fail and even from another institution. So I have introduction to psychology and microeconomics as pass/fail, and a macro economics from other institution for which I received credits but no grades. Would these suffice? I'm planning on applying next cycle and I wanted to know beforehand so I can take some classes if I need to.

Thanks

Sorry to bump, but does it matter if the behavioral sciences classes are both in the same discipline?

I've taken two PSYC classes - Intro Psychology (freshman level) and Industrial/Organizational Psychology (junior level).

If they not acceptable, I probably could do Intro Sociology at a CC during the coming three week mini.... Thanks in advance.

Take life span/developmental psych, its a requirement for most PA schools so I'm sure its good for anyone going into the health profession.
