You know how both the adrenal medulla and skeletal muscle don't have pre- AND post-synaptic?

My only question is whether they are considered to have just PRE- or just PRO-synaptic neurons.

I'm guessing it's the latter, right?

Do you mean pre and post ganglionic neurons? If so, then it would be the former in the case of the adrenal medulla because--just like all other pre-ganglionic neurons--these neurons release ACh onto neuronal nicotinic receptors. Also, skeletal muscles are innervated by motorneurons, which are neither pre nor post ganglionic neurons.
