Hey all!!! Im new to this forum, and after a long hiatus from school and work, to be a stay at home mom, I've decided to start studying for my DAT, as well as work on my dental school application.

I have done a ton of volunteer work in the past (about five years ago and more), but I am no longer in contact with any of the schools/hospitals or supervisors that I worked under, and unfortunately I have no documentation of them. I also did some research as an undergrad, but in psychology. Would I be able to use these as hours at all and would I have to contact the places I've volunteered at so that I can use them in my application?

I have a 16 month old child and a job now, so I dont have very much time to do research or do volunteer work. Wondering if anyone had any advice?

It is to my understanding that if you can't find the contact information for an EC then you simply do not provide it. There exists an honor system and I don't think they would be suspicious because you are a non-trad. If invited for an interview and you are asked about your EC's, then I am sure they will catch you if something seems off.

I would check out this topic - there are only two posts but they are from reliable people on this forum:

Thank you so much, that was super helpful!

I have not created an account yet but I dont think AADSAS even asks for contact numbers and the like for extracurricular activites/volunteering/ or employment.

Can anyone verify this that is filling out the application this year?

My point is that if AADSAS doesnt request it you are not required to provide it.
