Just a random question, but when a school reports the number of interviews and acceptances they hand out, does the number accepted include both outright offers and waitlisted -> acceptances, or just the number of outright offers?

If I'm being unclear, an example would be School X that has 5000 applications and gives 1000 interviews. The school reports that it accepts 300 from the interview pool. Does this mean that they could accept 250 outright and eventually take 50 from the waitlist, or does it mean 300 outright acceptances?

The accepted number is the number of admission offers given out, so it includes both outright acceptance, and acceptance off the waitlist.
