I received a C- in an upper level biology class. I was wondering if I should retake this class?
Is it necessary to retake a C-?
I truly hated the class but at the same time a C- is pretty low but I am not confident I will get an A on a retake.

what about other classes? do you have enough upper level bio classes with As to show you can handle upper level material? and was it a recommended class like cell bio or biochem, or was it something unrelated like reptilian immunology or some crap like that?

Was not cell bio or biochem. Was not as random as reptilian immunology but it was taught for the first time when I took it. I still have the time to take other upper level classes and do better. Was just wondering if it was absolutely necessary to retake a C-

I wouldn't worry too much about one C- especially in a non pre-req course. Do you have any other C's yet? I got into medical school with 3 C's (though 2 of them were while I was recovering from a car wreck in PT 3x a week) so don't stress too much as long as that isn't a common thing you should be fine. Take more upper level courses and rock those- don't waste your time retaking.
