I wanted to know what's science GPA? Is it the requirements only like Bio, chem, orgo, math & physics, or are also any bio upper division classes included too like Genetics, biochem, etc...?

Thanks.

Yep, those upper division sciences are included as well with the normal science classes and they are very important. Schools look at them as an indicator of how you will handle their advanced science classes. Also, if you've not done so well in your early college career, doing well in the later upper division bio classes can help prove to them that you are serious and capable.

Also science unrelated to bio/chem/phys, such as food nutrition, astronomy, etc.

Isn't math included in the science GPA as well?

yes it is
and there is a subdivide of the science gpa known as bcp:
which stands for biology, chemistry, and physics
(gpa derived from bcp grades and classes (upper and lower division) only; thus, no math included)

So that was my question....bio/chem/orgo chem/physics & math GPA ARE separated to calculate science GPA? What is bcp?

Do all schools calculate bcp?
