Do standardized patients have checklists on what questions should be asked during the encounter? I had heard somewhere that they don't anymore, but I was wondering if it's true regarding the new Step 2 CS
I suspect the reason you have yet to get an answer has a little to do with the obscure nature of this exam. I do remember reading that after the most recent revision, however, the only checklist the SPs have is for the PE. Having said this, this exam is so mysterious and anything is possible.
My only reason is that I am going through the FA cases and holy crap it doesn't naturally occur to me to ask every question related to those cases. I might get a few of them but all of them? No way.
I thought ICE was data gathering...so it does depend on what questions you are asking. I did u world for CS, and what it said was ICE includes questioning skills, physical exam, and patient note. CIS was more how you foster the relationship, and counsel, and address concerns.
