Most pharmacy schools want accepted applicants to arrange for transcripts from universities they've taken classes at to be mailed directly to their pharmacy program. I have a quick question about this. When these transcripts are received, what do they actually do with them? Do they base the applicant's final "applicant GPA" off of the GPAs on the transcripts they receive?
Also, what if someone applied and was accepted with a grade of WF on their transcript? PharmCAS doesn't give any weight to WF grades (I.e., it is just like a W), but most universities consider a WF to carry the same GPA weight as an F. So what happens if someone applied via PharmCAS and was interviewed/accepted with a 3.5 PharmCAS GPA? When the pharmacy program receives the transcript from the school and sees that the accepted applicant's GPA is really (for example) a 3.35 with the WF factored in, will they rescind the applicant's acceptance?
Thanks
