Hey, quick question: Do the people writing my letters have to submit the letters BEFORE I submit my application? Or do I just have to indicate the 3 people who are writing it, and they can submit it sometime after I submit my PharmCAS app?

They don't have to submit their LOR before you submit your application. If you submit your application first PharmCAS will send your letters as they come in to your designated schools. However, school's won't process your application until its complete with the required number of LOR.

Hmm, well I'll have 2 of them in by the time I submit my application. It's only one of the letters that wont be turned in until after I submit. So now I guess my question deals with the schools that have rolling admissions, like USC.

Let's say I submit my app with the 2 letters in early July, but the 3rd letter wont come in until early to mid August. Will USC begin viewing my app as if it were received in July, or as if it were received in August? I was told by the admissions office that they will review it as if its turned in in July, and just keep taking in more things as they come. So what do you mean they wont "process" if until it has the required # of LOR?

Sorry I meant to say some schools won't process your application until its complete, not all of them. USC requires only 2 LOR so you will be fine. When you submit it in July they will begin to review your application.

Ok cool, thanks. 👍

Hmmm I was under the impression that PharmCAS does not send your application off to your designated schools unless your application is complete (all LORs and transcripts). You can submit your application but it won't be complete until everything has been received.

The admissions office told me that they do receive the application, and that PharmCAS continues to send them information as it is received.
