Question about switching specialties.

If one was in their chosen specialty for awhile and they wanted to switch to another specialty how hard would that be? Lets say that money wasnt a concern and they wanted to switch to a field like FP or IM and they were not concerned about where they went for residency. Is this something that is doable or would it be incredibly hard?

Definitely doable if you're not picky.

I know people who went from IM to PM&R, IM to Path, etc. I don't know too many people who did the opposite (specialty to PC) but I imagine it'll be even easier, especially if they don't care where they go for the second residency.
