Its been a while since I last posted anything in the forums. I have a question though. I have been looking at the 0-6 program at some universities in the Northeast. Now I am almost done with my pre-requisites but I was wondering if I applied to their second year (last year of the pre-professional part of the program) with all of the pre-reqs I already completed, is that even acceptable? I won't have all the pre-reqs completed by this spring since my Bio course wont transfer I will have to retake it. I was looking to see if I could apply for fall 2010. The reason I am having to consider this route is because of my significant other and the fact that due to her obligations with work, church and family she is unable to move. I don't wanna risk waiting till the professional year when they hardly take transfers then. Is it worth it? I was looking to do Ochem II, Physics I, Stats and Calc this Spring if that helps.

i don't think any school will do that that is a 0-6 year school. You can only start over or apply during their professional years.

Sorry I don't know the answer but I just wanted to say good luck and don't give up! You went missing in action for a while 😛 You're YOUNG so you have plenty of time... I'm turning 23 in May and I'm just now applying.

One of the schools I was looking at does accept transfers for the P2 to P3 which is the beginning of the professional year. I just don't know what would happen to all the pre-reqs I already took since most of them would satisfy the requirements for P2 with the exception of a few classes.

😛 Thanks. Yeah been away taking care of some business and that was one of them so I am at a crossroad now because I dont know what to do. I guess I might have to try to transfer to the professional part of it, I just don't see how transfering early would work. Thanks though. Hope your holidays were better than mine lol.😎

I am quite confused...i would definatly call that school up and find out exactly how to go about it. Like I said I have never heard about transfers past first professional year or before first professional year.

Yea I will give them a call and find out what I can do. It seemed a little weird to me as well but that was what I saw on there website.

Well if you can't get in right away to the 0-6 school you can always finish your pre-reqs at a new college closer to her, and then apply to all the traditional 2+4 schools nearby.

I know you don't want to wait longer than you have to, but it's an option. Plus you can be with your sig. other and maybe work and save money for pharm school.

Nice, I turn 23 in April. When I look at my class and the 2013 class, I realize I'm like one of the youngest students in the school.

That must be a unique program, because all of the 0-6 school representatives I spoke to were pretty explicit in their stance of not taking anyone with any college credit under their belt already (So basically just high school grads and non-traditionals w/ no college).

I can't find any in that general area. Almost all the schools I have seen were mostly 0-6 programs.

Maybe I need to call them and speak to them directly because their info online is misleading.
