I'm a bit confused about the letter of recommendation portion of the application. My school career center has a LOR service which I assume is similar to interfolio. I have all my letters saved with them.

What's next? Do I send my letters from my school LOR service to AMCAS, and then AMCAS sends my letters to each school I apply to? Or do I use my school LOR service to send all my letters individually to each school?

Thanks!

When you fill out your AMCAS, you will need to download a letter form from the website (it's going to have your AMCAS ID, name, etc). Submit that to your career center. They'll take care of the next part of digitally sending your packet of letters to AMCAS.

Before the next step, you can start adding schools and submitting your primary to them.

A few days will go by until you see that the packet has been received and uploaded to your file. You will see an option to "Add a Letter" to each school and re-certify your application. When you re-certify it, your LOR packet will be sent out the schools you picked.

In essence:
Career center --> AMCAS --> Med School(s)

This will all make more sense once you learn how to use the AMCAS app portal. You do have to be responsible and make sure each part is completed on time.

When I send my letters from the LOR service to AMCAS, do I send each letter individually or all at once as a packet? If I send them all as a packet together, does that mean I have to send each school that entire packet with all the same letters or can I pick and choose to send certain letters to certain schools?

Everything is sent as a packet to the schools to apply to. You can't pick and choose which letters go where.

Actually you can pick and choose which letters go where unless it is a committee type set of letters that are only sent as a packet. If you ask to submit them all individually you can designate which letter goes to which school. If your school uploads the letters as a packet however, then no you cannot designate which letters go where.

This too. It depends on how your career center handles them.

Does AMCAS have a fee for each letter you send? I might want to do this
