So.. the secondary question that asks about your "greatest personal challenge as a physician"... does this mean they want you to write about something like PERSONAL as in family/life challenges, or personal (perhaps ethical) challenges a physician would face in the workplace?

you know---stuff like what color earrings to wear with your blue scrubs, whether to date the insurance chick, that kind of thing *helpful*

Honestly, I think either would work. Choose whichever interpretation you think would yield a better essay in your hands.

wow...this seems like a stupid question. You are not a physician yet.

Can you post the entire question?

it might be asking you to speculate what your biggest difficulty will be. that's not so hard to imagine. if you think you'll work a lot but want to be close to your family, it may be difficult to balance the two. if you have a hard time separating yourself from your patients emotionally, there you go.

if you're capable of getting through college you should be able to answer just about any secondary question with a little thought.

As posted above, that seems like an odd question because we're not physicians yet. How would we know?

But I would definitely write about an ethical dilemma... something that shows your high moral sense, responsiblity...

They expect you to have had some clinical experience so that you at least have an inkling about what the life of a physician is like. They surely expect you to extrapolate (and use examples when applicable) and explain the types of challenges you think you will encounter.

Hm... so its pretty much asking "when you're a physician, what is in your opinion the greatest personal challenge you expect to encounter" ??

See, I could write about that but I couldn't bring in personal examples... the stuff I do isn't even close to a physician's responsibilities. I haven't faced any challenges while filing papers or following simple directions haha

That would be my interpretation; however, I'd have to actually read the exact question about which the OP is talking word-for-word. But I assume it's asking for you to predict/anticipate the potential difficulties.
