what if i can only get one good LOR from science prof? I can get another LOR from my work, dentist, and volunteer supervisor. I was going to get two LOR from science professors, but one professor I did research with and had class with got really sick and is in the hospital getting worked on. I can possibly ask other science professors I had lecture with, but I never went to their office hours and they probably don't remember me. Any input I would appreciate.

I mean, it depends on what the requirements are for the schools that you are applying to? Is it too late for you to get a committee letter? It's a tough situation, but you will have to do what you can to meet the requirements. At least, that is my guess...

My school does not do a committee letter and I have not made a school list yet. I am taking my DAT next week then I will make one.

Perhaps find a class you did really well in recently and introduce yourself to the professor who taught the class, and let them know of your situation. One of my professors was happy to write letters of rec as long as the student had an A- or better in the class.

Another thought would be to ask from a professor who you took a class with and is in the same department/friendly with the professor who has gotten sick.

The third option is to just wait and stay in contact with the professor who knows you best. I'm sure they'd be happy to write you an amazing letter, and there's still plenty of time before apps go out. Even delaying your application by a couple of weeks might be worth it for a letter from this professor.

thanks for the input! I would agree with that, but I am not sure when he will be back and healthy. To put it bluntly he is about to die, I doubt he wants to write a letter for me right now.
