Hello 🙂 I was reading in the dental decks part 1 that the thymus is a bilobed lymphoid organ that has no lymphatics. What does that mean? How can the thymus be lymphoid but also have no lymphatics?
If I had to guess, it would be classified as lymphatic since it is the site of T cell maturation, yet it has no afferent lymph vessel. However, it does have an efferent lymph vessel, so that kind of muddies up that definition.
