Hello all, I met with my advisor last week and we made a schedule for me to follow as I approach my senior year.
Could you guy critique it?

Summer 2015: Research, Volunteer, Study for MCAT, Shadow
Fall 2015: Volunteer, Study for MCAT, Shadow
Spring 2015: TAKE MCAT, Volunteer, Shadow

I have a few questions about this schedule.
If I take the MCAT in Spring 2015, I will be applying to med schools during that summertime correct?
If I apply during Summer 2016, when will I start Med school?
What should I be doing this summer to study for the MCAT? I currently have the kaplan books and am studying them. In the fall I plan to take a prep course.

Thank you for your reponses.

If you apply summer 2016 you start med school fall 2017.
I wouldn't study for the MCAT for longer than 6 months, after so much you're not retaining what you started with. I wouldn't even study this summer. If you take it like April I'd start in ~ November.

Yes.

Summer 2016 or Summer 2015. If you apply during summer of one year, you will be enrolling the summer of the next year.

There's about as many ways to study for the MCAT as there are ways to use eggs. If what you are doing is increasing your scores on practice tests and is getting you to the score you want, stick with it.
