How is UF as a school? Pros and cons. How's the area?

Pros for me was full-body Gross Anatomy with dissections, lots of outdoor activities to get involved with in the surrounding area, and the possibility of declaring instate after the first year. From what I remember the facilities were good, not great but sufficient. Oh and I am sure football is not to bad to watch either.
Cons for me was simply the humidity and isolation of Gainesville.

I've lived in Florida my whole life and would like to stay near home. I am shadowing a dentist now and I know a couple other dentists that graduated from UFCD. They all said that the school was great. If you're not from FL than I would say the cons are that it can get pretty humid and we have those hurricanes. And like the previous poster said, the school is like in the middle of nowhere.
Overall, I would be 😀 if I can get in to UF.

It's a great place to be if you like party atmosphere, football, basketball, Tim Tebow, football, cheap place to live, football, tailgating during football season, hot weather, and winning national championships in football.
