question about volunteering hours

Should I include being a genetics TA as volunteering when I apply? I spent 3 hours as a Genetics TA for 15 or 16 weeks and didn't know if that is considered volunteering or what? Thanks for any help!

did you benefit out of the activity in any shape or form (college credits? Requirement for a course completion? money? etc).... If not, its volunteering

I got a non-graded half credit that doesn't affect my GPA or anything else in any way. It was the only way I could be a TA. I can ask my professor who I TA'd for what he thinks about in a sense of volunteering or not. In either case it is an EC. Right?

EC = yes.... Volunteering? I dunno, its ur call.

I don't think its volunteering. But its definately a very good EC!!
