Is continuing your EC's your senior year worth anything in admissions?

Say you have some amount of hours of volunteering at the time of your application; would it help you if you also said you were doing another 50 your senior year or is this of no value? same with research or anything

the reason I ask is because I actually want to focus on research and not continue with volunteering my senior year. I will have 70 hours of volunteering and 250 of research.

OKAy to stop volunteering?

Yes. Very much so.

Different schools value clinical, research and volunteering differently.

@Goro OP asked two different questions, which I have highlighted. Mind clarifying which one you were answering?

If you get rejected and have to re-apply, what will you tell your interviewer for your second cycle about why all your activities ended several months ago?

I guess OP would have to tell them the truth: that s/he didn't give 2 farts about any of those activities and was just trying to do the minimum amount of work to check off the boxes.
