Hi, I am currently a 3rd year in ucsd major in Pharmacological Chemistry, and my goal is to go to pharmacy school in CA. my gpa is 3.8 but i dont have any EC, except that i worked in a research lab last quarter. after reading some of the posts on this forum i think gpa alone won't get me anywhere, which worries me. and i think research doesn't have a lot to do with becoming pharmacist. I think the best way for me to do is to work at a pharmacy. Is it too late? do I need to get a pharmacy tech license? usually how much ec is considered sufficient, and when do people usually start? am i really behind🙁 ?

your gpa is really good, but its good to have more EC's.. like clubs, pharmacy experience, volunteer etc.. so yeah its never too late to start!

   when I read the title of this thread I thought it was asking about medical advice - when to start emergency contraception!

I've been working too long!!!!!!🙁

Join a service fraternity or club..Heck, just do community service.

Then get some experience in a pharmacy (clerk, tech, shadow, volunteer).
