WAIT. if there is any chance that alcohol thing will appear. wait. one year will not make a difference. instead you can work it to your advantage. do research, volunteer pursue you're interests. say that you wanted to confirm you're interests was in medicine and you matured blah blah. and travel and have fun. because once you get into med school it's safe to say you'll be busy for at leat 10+ years. good luck!
