Question Concerning Prereqs

For context I am currently a structural engineer. Graduated with a 3.85 GPA and have all the typical prereqs completely conincidentally apart from Organic Chemistry.

I took AP Bio ~7 years ago and received a 5 for the course. I was wondering if this was a course I should retake. I have the discipline to follow online lectures and self study to get myself back up to speed, especially if it means I can save $. If I go the self-study route do you foresee that causing issues in the admissions process? Would it cause less headache to retake the course?

It's going to be school specific. Some do have expiration dates ton pre-reqs

AP credit is also school specific, I believe.

Repeating the course (even online) might help you to do better on the MCAT.
