I'm new to this list and have been trying to find info on the WWAMI program. Specifically, what are the stats of people who have been accepted/waitlisted/rejected? Any general comments/advice on the WWAMI app. proces? I'm beginning to fill out my app I'm incredibly nervous about the whole process. Kind of stressed that judgment day is coming closer and I would like to see where I fit in in the scheme of things. Thanks for your help, and the best of luck to all other applicants! Later!

I think Alaska is the WWAMI state with the best odds of acceptance. I think it was 1/4 recently, versus 1/7 in Idaho and Washington.

ajnak182,

I applied to UW as an AK WWAMI applicant this past year. I interviewed in January, made it on to the infamous "competitive" list, and was rejected in March. I can for sure tell you there are only 10 AK WWAMI slots, but I don't recall how many people interviewed for them. IMHO, to maximize your chances you need to get your app completed ASAP, including your AK state certification. Also remember UW is one of the most competitive programs out there, so be sure not to put all your eggs in one basket and apply to plenty of other programs. Good luck!
