Did you guys take the anesthesia written and oral boards at the same time as your other classmates who didn't do a fellowship, or can you wait or not take them altogether if you decided to never do OR anesthesia?

I am guessing if we HAVE to take the anesthesia written/oral boards might as well get it done as soon as possible so that we remember as much of our basic anesthesia as possible...

If you dont take anesthesia boards and pass u cant take pain boards( atleast the results will not be released)

second the comment. also, just get it out of the way ASAP. i took it with the rest of my classmates (oral and written) despite beginning my fellowship July 1 (written boards were the next week). it was hectic, but trust me on this one, you DON'T want it hanging over your head while you're trying to get on with your career in pain

I took written and orals with my class. I also took pain boards 2 days before Orals. I took a gamble but it payed off. I recommend studying your butt off for Orals and praying that you pass both.
