Question For D.O.'s Who Have Been Through the Interview Process

Hello,

I'm a 4th year student and have just finished applying to various residency programs. During which month did you find most of your interviews being held? The reason I ask is because my school allows us to take up to four weeks off for interviews. I need to soon decide which month to take off, but it's tough not having been through this process before. Did you scatter your interviews over several months or did you do them all during one month. Thank you very much.

I scheduled my interviews in Nov/Dec/Jan. I did an EM elective month in Nov and since EM is basically shift work, I moved around the schedule to accomodate the interviews.
Dec I did anesthesia/rads and was able to take time off. January I did FP with an attending who was pretty lax with the schedule. I was able to save my one month of "vacation" (our school doesnt' give us time off for interviews) for April, so I was done March 31st!
