I have the opportunity to work for a specialty pharmacy as there is an opening. I currently work as a community pharmacist so I do not have much experience with the protocols in dealing with these high cost medications. I was told to brush up on my specialty drugs and URAC accreditation before my interview. Can anyone give me some insight on what your job entails and what standards you uphold in your pharmacy to meet accreditation as well as how your pharmacy upholds the status of limited pharmacy distribution network?
