Hi. This is not me, but I was wondering. I was just wondering what would cause someone from an ivy league education double major (science and nonscience Bachelors), a decent GPA and MCAT with a publication from a good journal and 3 years of not getting into medical school (at least 2 failures). Some, but posses very minor clinical experience.

Any help is appreciated.

Don't you think the question would be more answerable if you were more specific?

For example, some people consider a 3.5 GPA and 29 MCAT "decent" while others would say a 3.7 and a 35 are "decent".

I am not an adcom, but logically having weak EC's while only applying to top tier schools would do the trick of failing to get admitted. Academic dishonesty on one's record could also do it.
