Well the good news is that you don't have to do very much work with your group members.
😀 Since I've been here I think we've only been required to do one biochem presentation together. Other times we get together are in the computer lab. Maybe we get together more often - I just can't remember.
🙂 Presentations are the only times it really matters if your group is on the ball, since
you're graded for what
everyone else does.
Some people this year got put into some really BAD groups, but out of 20 or so groups I think only a couple have had major problems with groupmates not pulling their slack.
I didn't know anyone when I first moved to AZ (except for JD and my sister) and it was really nice to be thrown into meeting 5 or 6 other people. My group gets along well and we do social things every once in awhile. However, I think ours is the only one like this - so I got lucky.
😀 The only thing I can warn against is if there's ever a tiff b/t group members it can get kind of weird HAVING to hang out with them.
If all else fails and you HATE your group maybe it'll be a little better when Applied Pharmaceutical Care comes along Spring and Summer quarter because you're given an entire new "family" to work with. Your family will meet once a week for lab. As for my family - they're no where near as cool as my group.
