So I didn't really look into Tulane until recently, only because I'm a TX resident.

Then I found out that Tulane has this Time Out program where they actually encourage you to defer admission for up to 3 years and engage in public service. I was really impressed with how they WANT you to do TFA, Peace Corps, Americorps, etc etc. Most other schools I looked into/ talked to would very reluctantly grant me a deferral for Peace Corps. I feel like a school that truly appreciates the students' maturity and commitment would really be a good school for me. (Not to mention the location. New Orleans? Hell yes!)

However, I'm just very concerned about the tuition because it would cost about 4x of what I would pay if I went to my state school.

So overall, what is your opinion on Tulane (from what I heard, it's very relaxing and everyone's very nice) and what kind of scholarships are available, besides taking loans?
