I'm redoing our 'resident slide show'. This is something we show at lunch, just residents and interviewees see. It kind of recaps the program stuff (already covered by in the morning)

What would you guys want to see?

Naked women, and lots of 'em.

Well, naturally, nudity. But what else.

Hey Roja,
Since we plan on attending many interviews, how about some ppts that describe the uniqueness of your program? I have not visited many cities so maybe some highlights of the location as well. Finally, I love seeing pics of how residents have fun outside the ED. Hope that helps.

Pics of smiling happy residents! (not staged, of course)

In addition to program stuff, which is usually pretty well covered, I'm interested in things like housing (where do most residents live? Do they own their homes, etc), family stuff (how many residents have families?), are the schools any good?

Do residents play well together and how often do they do this. What types of things are there to do. How much moonlighting goes on.

Thanks for asking.

Take care,
Jeff

Thanks guys! I wanted to keep the program details light since these are covered prior to our slide show.

My idea was to show alot of the fun stuff.. our parties, trips, etc.

If there have been any memorable radiographs from "FB Rectum" cases, you might want to consider an image or two with text about "In-Depth Experience" or "A Buttload of Interesting Cases" or some such. 😀

If local news media have written about your hospital, maybe some clips that show the general sense of how the place is viewed. Reputation, ya know?

I totally agree that pictures of housing options and the city landscape would be great. That's what I'm really interested in when I interview. I want to see the area I may be living in the next few years.
Taking some shots of various neighborhoods or complexes where most residents live would be really helpful.

Yeah, NYC makes it a little more unique. Most people know what they are getting into and since we have subsidized housing, interviewees get a tour of the housing during the interview day. So basically the theme is residents with drinks in thier hands. 😉
