Hey guys I'm in a dilemma...
My school has suggested that we take the Step 1 by the end of October. Being a Caribbean med student, we start rotations in January if we do that route. After this semester, which ends in 2 weeks, many students are going to take review courses such as Falcon, PASS (in Illinois) and Kaplan.
Some of my friends swear up and down about Kaplan's 6-week course. They teach you ways to answer Q's and give u upto to date info about board's trends. Goljan's teaching the Path portion, Passo is teaching Physio etc. But the thing is: it's a SIX week course. That's a lot of time to tie up, especially being in a whole new place (NYC).
I have the Kaplan videos and the Qbank access and bunch of other resources.
Do you guys think that I should occupy 6 weeks of my 8.5 weeks with that course or just review stuff with the videos and Kaplan books?
So anybody who knows the Kaplan Course or who has sat thru it, can you shoot out your take on this? Thanks alot.
